DESCRIPTION OF WORK:
Kazimierz Sichulski was an artist associated for most of his life with his hometown of Lviv, so he not infrequently took up themes in his art that were connected with that city or the folklore of its surroundings. The featured work depicts a view of the park-village district of Lviv - Zofiówka. The landscape was painted in a cool, narrow range of colors with warm accents of chrome yellow. Here the artist used a slightly blurred color patch, characteristic of his work. The qualities of precision and dynamism are added to the work by the graffitied lines of pastel, emphasizing the individual elements of the composition.
