The painting comes from the artist’s family collection and, along with the entire collection (comprising 150 landscapes and landscape studies), was displayed at an exhibition at the Zamek Culture Center in Poznań in 2004. The exhibition was accompanied by a comprehensive catalog containing descriptions and reproductions of all the artist’s exhibited works, grouped into several series of landscapes. The painting presented here appears in Chapter I, “Nocturnes and Cloud Studies.”
